It is mandatory, I think, to do at least one cliche fall activity every fall. More is preferable, but there are a lot of options. Carve a pumpkin, order a pumpkin spice latte, go for a walk through the leaves, bake a pecan pie...or if you're feeling ambitious, hit up your local apple orchard. When you live downtown Indy, the 'local apple orchard' might not be so local, so pack a picnic, grab a few friends, and load up the car. The drive will be worth it!
Nothing beats biting into a freshly picked Fuji apple on a sunny fall day. That's what I did after we took this picture. It was crisp, sweet, and a little dusty. Like taking a bite of autumn weather. Mmmmmmm.
Dress code...of couse the whole squad had to wear flannel.
Families, couples, and friends spent their Sunday at the orchard to enjoy the beautiful weather and pick bushels of beautiful apples!
There is something so fantastic about walking through an orchard, climbing the trees, and eating apples straight off the branch.
We've got a lot of pies to make now.
This little munchkin knows exactly what I'm saying.
